Dr. Fara T. Afshar embarked on her academic journey in the medical sciences, graduating with honors in Biochemistry from California State University, Fullerton in 2000. Beginning her career in dentistry as a front office receptionist, Dr. Afshar quickly advanced to practice management. In the fall of 2007, she welcomed her child and, shortly thereafter, was accepted into the University of the Pacific’s dental program, graduating with the Class of 2011. Balancing the demands of motherhood and a rigorous dental education, she demonstrated remarkable determination and resilience.
